Information stored in your browser

HDLbits stores your theme preference and problem editor drafts in your browser's local storage. Drafts are saved by problem and language so you can return to your work on the same browser. You can remove this data through your browser's site data settings. If local storage is unavailable, drafts may not persist after you leave the page.

Code execution

The site's HDL editor and simulation tools run in your browser. Your editor code is not sent to HDLbits as part of running a simulation.

Service providers

The site loads fonts from Google Fonts. Your browser connects to Google's font services to retrieve them, and Google may receive technical connection information such as your IP address. The hosting and delivery providers used to serve the site may also process standard request data for delivery, reliability, and security.

Cookies and analytics

HDLbits does not currently set advertising cookies or use an analytics service. Browser local storage is used for the preferences and drafts described above.

Changes and questions

This policy may be updated as the site changes. For privacy questions, please contact us through the Contact Us page.
